Vinte e um aninhos completa o legionário selo americano Matador Records. Três noites de shows históricos já estão marcados para um cassino em Los Angeles e ainda tem mais a ser anunciado nessa grande comemoração.
Um grande box será lançado no dia 28 de setembro e contará toda a história da gravadora em 5 cds em digipacks com canções muitas vezes raras, remasterizadas, e pertencentes a figuras como Teenage Fanclub, Superchunk, Pavement, Interpol, Cat Power e muitos outros, divididos por épocas, inclusive. Além disso, um sexto cd trás gravações do festival de 10 anos do selo, que rolou em 99.
Junto da caixa, também tem um livro de 85 páginas com história e documentos, além de 36 poker chips (aquelas moedas de poker usadas em cassinos) que serão válidas durante o festival marcado pro início do mês que vem.
Um vinil duplo contendo as bandas do disco 5 do box (bandas atuais do catálogo da Matador) também será comercializado e os royalits das bandas serão destinados a fundos de caridade expecificados no site oficial do selo, onde você também encontra outras fotos do box-set.
