Watch: Phoenix, Superchunk, the Walkmen, and Chromeo Perform on Late Night Television
Big night for Pitchfork-friendly bands on late night television yesterday. In addition to Pavement on “The Colbert Report”, Phoenix stopped by “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” to do “Lasso” and “1901” (shout out to wildman drummer Thomas Hedlund), Superchunk did “Digging for Something” from the new Majesty Shredding and oldie “Precision Auto” on “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon” (shout out to special guest vocalist John Darnielle), the Walkmen performed “Angela Surf City” on “Last Call With Carson Daly” (which is still a show that is on TV), and Chromeo brought “Night by Night” to “Letterman” (shout out to those Robert Palmer dancers and string players).
